Barca's Recent Struggles are Making Players, and Fans Nervous.
Time for Barca to Panic?
FC Barcelona’s loyal fans, or Cules, are beginning to feel anxiety as Barca is going through a bad spell of form. Barca is isolated at the top of La Liga by four points, has one foot in the final of the Copa Del Rey (King’s Cup) after a 2-0 win over Mallorca in the first leg of the semi-final, and got a 1-1 draw way to French power house Lyon in the first leg of their Champions League round of sixteen game.
Most clubs in the world would be extremely happy being in those positions at this stage of the season, however a twelve point lead turning into a four point lead in a matter of weeks has Barca feeling the pressure from eternal rivals, Real Madrid.
After drawing with Racing, losing a shocker at home to local rivals Espanyol, and, on Sunday losing a heart breaker to a Sergio Aguero inspired Atletico Madrid, Barca are starting to look over their shoulders. Real Madrid has transformed since the first half of the season, and seems to have forgotten how to lose in La Liga.
Valdez Mistakes or Fatigue to Blame?
Barca fans are pointing their fingers at the keeper, Victor Valdes, after some key mistakes in the past few games. One other reason for the dip in form might be fatigue. Barca is still in three competitions, which requires a high number of games in a short period of time. The amount of games is taking its toll on the squad. Barca has played a game every weekend and one during midweek for a month and a half straight, and has another four games in the next two weeks. Coach Pep Guardiola is still calm and insists his side will bounce back. With the gap between Real Madrid and Barca getting smaller and smaller, the show down in Madrid in May is looking to be more and more important in deciding the title race.

-Franck Ribery is said to have signed a four year contract with Barca. As soon as a fee is agreed between Fc Barcelona and Bayern Munich, the French winger will make his move to the Camp Nou.
-After nine months out with a knee injury, center back Gabriel Milito is nearing full fitness. This is welcome news to the Blaugrana because of their recent defensive woes.
-Andres Iniesta is close to a return from a hamstring injury he picked up in training two weeks ago.

-Thierry Henry insists he does not want to leave in the summer, and wants to play out his career at Barca.
-Samuel Eto’o insists he is happy at Barca and wants to see out his contract.
-A recent rumor out of France claims that Lyon may be willing to swap Karim Bezema, for Bojan Krkic plus cash.
