Rummenigge told Bild Newspaper, “we rejected the chance and we have no intention of selling Ribery (to Real Madrid)...(but) “Chelsea have lodged a bid, as have Manchester United and Barcelona”, but insists that “the power lies with Bayern Munich”.
Chelsea Need An Attacking Option
Manchester United are seeking a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, who is on the verge of moving to Real Madrid, and Sir Alex Ferguson, it seems, is eyeing up a move for Ribery. Chelsea are also in need of attacking threats after it emerged that Deco could be moving to Inter Milan. While Barcelona need to combat Real Madrid next season and the signing of Ribery would help.
Ribery’s Fee is Unknown
How much the French playmaker would cost for the three mentioned teams is unknown. Rummenigge didn’t want to talk about “sums of money” emphasising that “the amount is irrelevant”, but a fee of around 45 million euro’s should prize Ribery away from his current German club.
Ribery, who at the age of two years old, was involved in a car accident in Boulogee-sur-Mer resulting in severe facial wounds which needed over one hundred stitches and left scars down the side of his face.

However, since that injury it has been Ribery who has left scars on opponent’s defences. After having spells with Boulogne, Ales, Metz and Galatasary, Ribery made the move to Marseille where he set the footballing world alight with 11 goals and mesmerising ball control. In 2007, Ribery then transferred to Bayern Munich where he has significantly improved as a footballer, scoring 20 goals and attracting interest from Europe. His seven goals for France also signal his all round quality and have gained him international recognition and has grown to one of the most valuable players in world football.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Barcelona appreciate his value and are expected to pay what it takes to bring the twenty six year old to their club, but the world record fee paid for Ronaldo is unlikely to be broken.
Playmaker May Want to Test His Skills in England
However, after playing much of his career in France and Germany, he may want to test his skills in the Premier League, renowned as the best league in the world, with Chelsea possibly having the edge over the other teams.
What is clear though is that whichever club gets their hands on Frank Ribery, they will be taking on one of the brightest talents in football today.
