It's no longer about the persecution. No sane young Scot can genuinely be angry about the treatment of the Scots by the English a hundred or so years ago. Anyway, without subsidies from England they'd all be living in slums these days anyway.

I can not condone how the English continue to attack Germany for it's war-hungry past. We can't blame today's Germans for their country's despicable past. Just like we can't blame all of France for the behaviour of it's leaders towards England.
