I'm all up for trying to take positives from a situation, but are you mad? Yes, expectations have been dampened by WR's likely absence, but ultimately that's hardly something to be cheering about. And given the majority of players seem to think WR was essential to any successful tilt at the World Cup, it's hardly going to inspire them to greater things knowing he's out.

Maybe Sven could reduce the pressure further by not taking Robinson, Lampard, Terry and Owen. That would really help dampen any thoughts we had of coming back with the trophy.
